This 2008 Kawasaki KLX450R is being wrecked at Derrimut. It’s a four-stroke off-road single built on much the same architecture as Kawasaki’s KX450F motocrosser, but retuned with a wider-ratio gearbox and softer suspension for enduro and trail riding rather than sit-down motos on a closed circuit.

Because the KLX450R shares so much of its engine and chassis design with the KX450F motocrosser of the same generation, a lot of what’s coming off this bike also suits a KX450F needing a rebuild, and vice versa. That crossover is worth knowing whether you’re chasing a specific bolt-on part or a full top-end rebuild kit for either bike, and it’s a detail plenty of owners aren’t aware of until they ask us directly.
Everything is a used take-off from this actual bike, checked before it’s sent out – never new, never boxed as genuine. We freight Australia-wide from Derrimut. Browse the Kawasaki parts category, or use the parts finder for a specific item. Racing or trail-riding yours into the ground? See get cash for bikes when it’s time to move on. We can also check a specific part against a KX450F if you’re unsure of the crossover. Not every component swaps over cleanly despite the shared engine architecture, so it pays to ask first.
