What do I need to sell my bike to you?
We need proof you're entitled to sell the bike, generally registration papers or a certificate showing your name, along with photo ID matching that name. For a written-off or unregistered bike, any paperwork confirming ownership still helps. We'll tell you exactly what's needed once we've assessed the bike.
How does pickup and payment work when I sell a bike?
Once you accept an offer, we arrange transport from your address, you don't need to organise freight or drop the bike anywhere yourself. Payment is arranged directly with you around collection, and paperwork is handled as part of the sale. The exact timing can vary a little depending on your location and how far you are from a capital city, so ask when you get your offer if timing matters.
How much does shipping cost?
Freight is calculated on the weight and dimensions of the part at checkout, not a flat rate, so a small consumable like a lever or cable costs a lot less to send than a wheel or engine. Larger or heavier items may ship on a pallet, which is priced accordingly. You'll see the freight cost before you pay, so there are no surprises once the order is on its way.
How long does delivery take?
Melbourne metro orders are typically local delivery or next-day. Regional Victoria and nearby states are usually a few business days. Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane and Canberra typically run 3 to 6 business days by road freight. These are ranges, not guarantees, since carrier schedules and conditions vary along the route.
Does delivery take longer to WA, NT or Tasmania?
Yes. Perth and Darwin are long-haul routes and generally take longer than the east coast, often over a week depending on the part and carrier. Tasmania crosses Bass Strait, which adds a shipping leg on top of the road freight from Derrimut. We'll give you a realistic estimate rather than a fixed date for these routes.
Can I track my order?
Yes. Once your order is dispatched from our Derrimut warehouse, we send tracking details so you can follow it on the carrier's own system rather than guessing at progress. This applies whether it's a small parcel going to Melbourne metro or a palletised item on a long-haul route. If tracking hasn't updated and you're concerned, contact us and we'll chase it with the carrier directly.
What happens if a part arrives damaged?
Photograph the damage and the packaging before you unpack further, then
contact us straight away. We pack for the distance involved, but freight damage does occasionally happen, and we'll work with you and the carrier to sort out a replacement or refund rather than leave you with a part you can't use.
