This 1989 Kawasaki KLR250 is also coming apart at our Derrimut yard, a later example than the other KLR250 we’re currently wrecking. It’s the same air-cooled, electric-start dual-sport formula Kawasaki barely touched across the model’s run, which means this bike is just as useful a parts source as any other model year either side of it.
Parts off this KLR250
- Engine cases, cylinder head, barrel and piston
- Carburettor, airbox and exhaust system
- Starter motor, gearbox internals and clutch
- Forks, triple clamps and both wheels
- Swingarm, rear shock and linkage
- Front and rear brake calipers, discs and master cylinders
- Fuel tank, seat, subframe and mudguards
- Stator, CDI, wiring loom and headlight assembly
Because the KLR250 changed so little through its production life, parts off this bike are a safe bet across a wide span of model years, not just 1989 examples. If a part you need isn’t listed off our other KLR250, it’s worth checking this one too – between the two donor bikes we’re covering most of what an owner might realistically need, whether that’s a single bolt-on item or a full suspension rebuild.
Everything is a used take-off, checked over before sale – never new, never boxed as genuine. We freight Australia-wide from our Derrimut yard. Browse the Kawasaki parts category, or search the parts finder. Questions on fitment? Get in touch via contact us and we’ll check both donor bikes for what you’re after. We’ll confirm which of the two bikes has what you’re chasing before you commit to buying. Ask about specific mileage-related wear items too, since these bikes covered plenty of trail miles.
