This 2009 Suzuki RM-Z250 is being wrecked at Derrimut. It’s a full four-stroke motocrosser – fuel-injected, liquid-cooled, DOHC single – built for the 250F class where Suzuki competed hard against Honda, Yamaha and Kawasaki through the 2000s, and the parts coming off it reflect a race-bred build rather than a trail bike, right down to the aluminium perimeter frame.
Parts off this RM-Z250
- Cylinder head, camshafts, valves and piston
- Fuel injector, throttle body and airbox
- Exhaust header and muffler
- Gearbox internals and clutch assembly
- Forks, triple clamps and wheels
- Aluminium swingarm, rear shock and linkage
- Front and rear brake calipers, discs and master cylinders
- Plastics, fuel tank, seat and subframe
The RM-Z250 shares much of its engine and chassis architecture across a run of consecutive model years, so parts off this 2009 bike commonly interchange with RM-Z250s either side of it. It’s a common source for racers rebuilding a 250F after a crash, or restoring one to compete in vintage motocross classes, where original-generation parts matter more than aftermarket substitutes.
