This 1981 Yamaha XT250 is also coming apart at our Derrimut yard, a later example than the other XT250 we’re currently wrecking. It’s the same road-registered, air-cooled four-stroke trail formula – kickstart, full lighting kit and a chassis built for dirt roads and gravel as much as sealed streets.

- Carburettor, airbox and exhaust system
- Kickstart mechanism, gearbox internals and clutch
- Forks, triple clamps and both wheels
- Swingarm, rear shock and linkage
- Front and rear brake assemblies
- Fuel tank, seat, subframe and mudguards
- Headlight, tail light, indicators and speedometer
Because the XT250 changed only in detail across these years, parts off this bike are a safe bet across a range of model years either side of 1981, not just this exact one.
