This 1999 KTM 250 SX is being dismantled at Derrimut. It’s a liquid-cooled two-stroke motocrosser with upside-down forks, disc brakes and a chassis built purely for the track – by the late 90s KTM’s motocross range was becoming genuinely competitive with the established Japanese brands, and this bike is a good example of that era of development.

Parts off this 250 SX

  • Cylinder barrel, head, piston and power valve components
  • Reed valve assembly, carburettor and airbox
  • Expansion chamber and silencer
  • Gearbox internals and clutch assembly
  • Inverted forks, triple clamps and wheels
  • Swingarm, rear shock and linkage
  • Front and rear brake calipers, discs and master cylinders
  • Plastics, fuel tank and seat

Two-stroke motocrossers this age get raced hard and crashed often, which keeps demand for genuine used parts steady among racers who’d rather not chase increasingly scarce new-old-stock items through a dealer. This is a common source for a full top-end rebuild or a single bolt-on replacement after a get-off.

Everything is a used take-off, checked over before sale – never new, never boxed as genuine. We freight Australia-wide from our Derrimut yard. See the KTM parts category for more two-stroke KTM parts, or use the parts finder to search by part. Racing yours into the ground? See get cash for bikes. Ask if a specific item isn’t listed yet – new parts get added as we work through this bike. Restorers and racers rebuilding a late-90s KTM motocrosser are the main buyers we see for parts off a bike like this. We’re happy to confirm exact fitment on a specific part before you commit to an order.
