This 1984 Suzuki RM80 is being dismantled at Derrimut. It’s a two-stroke minicross bike from the era when Suzuki’s RM range dominated junior and lightweight motocross, built light and revvy with none of the trail-bike compromises you’d find on a road-registered small-capacity Suzuki of the same period – no lights, no indicators, nothing that isn’t needed to go fast on a track.
Parts off this RM80
- Cylinder barrel, head and piston
- Reed valve assembly and carburettor
- Expansion chamber and silencer
- Gearbox internals and clutch assembly
- Forks, triple clamps and wheels
- Swingarm, rear shock and linkage
- Plastics, fuel tank and seat
- Handlebars, controls, footpegs, chain and sprockets
Small-capacity two-stroke motocrossers like the RM80 have been out of production for decades, and dealer support for them has effectively disappeared, so a running donor is one of the few realistic sources left for genuine period-correct parts. It’s a common choice for people restoring a junior racer to original spec rather than fitting later aftermarket substitutes, or for clubs keeping a fleet of vintage minicross bikes track-ready for historic race days.
Everything listed is a used take-off from this actual bike, checked over before it goes out – never new, never boxed as genuine. We freight Australia-wide from our Derrimut yard. Browse the Suzuki parts category for more from this era, or see the FAQ page for how we handle freight and returns. Give us a call if you’re after something not shown on the listing yet – we’re still working through this bike and can often pull a specific part to order within a day or two.
