We’re currently pulling this 2004 Husqvarna TE 450 apart at our Derrimut yard. It’s a four-stroke enduro machine from the era when Husqvarna’s Italian-built off-roaders were genuinely competitive with the Austrian and Japanese bikes, running a carburettor-fed engine with proper enduro fitment – lighting coil, wide-ratio gearbox and suspension tuned for trail rather than track.

Husqvarna enduro bikes from this era share a fair bit with other Euro off-road brands of the period, and parts can be genuinely hard to track down through mainstream channels once a model is a couple of decades old. If you’re restoring or maintaining a mid-2000s Husqvarna four-stroke enduro, a used take-off from a running donor is often the quickest way to get a bike back on the trail rather than waiting weeks on a specialist import.
